      • If this is not about the perfect working knife, I don't know what is. A 7" 1283 is too large for everyday carry (but perfect to keep in the car / truck as a tool). A 4" or less others are too small for hard work (and the handles are bigger than the blade, so the balance is off). This 5" blade is the perfect length to be easy to use and capable for real work. The width is balanced. The thickness gives it a great feel - heft - balance - whatever you want to call it. All together, it's strong. Like an all-steel 1911, this is a real working tool. The 1095 takes a good sharp edge - and is easy to sharpen. The handle is secure, comfortable, and strong. I'm probably going to buy another, so I have two.

      • This was highly anticipated addition. I couldn't wait for them to release an EK knife in a more compact size similar to my EK102 JAROSZ boot knife. I bought both models the EK50 and EK51. So happy with them. Sharp as heck, good quality sheath to carry them around in. Couldn't be happier! These are my new knives for EDC at work.
