The legendary story of the Eugene Stone knife lives on with this replica offered by KA-BAR Knives and Bill Stone.
Using his father's original casts to make the famous skull and cobra handles, Bill Stone touched each and every one of these knives, hand finishing them before sending the blades to be blued. The end result is stunning. The handle is a gorgeous, shiny silver while the blades are a beautifully rich, deep shade of blue that sometimes looks black or silver in photography, depending on the lighting.
Sold with JRE semi-custom leather sheath and Gerstner golden oak case with nickel corners, hinges and draw latch. Each knife comes with a certificate of authenticity, a DVD of Bill Stone telling his father's story and how he came to work with KA-BAR on this limited edition project, and custom-designed packaging.

If you're a knife collector/enthusiast, then it's definitely worth the buy. Quite expensive but it's worth the quality and especially the quantity. I'm feel lucky being one out of the 350. If you're on the fence then I persist to definitely purchase. Easy 5 stars.

I just received mine in the mail and when I finally got to the beautiful hard wood box that contained this fine peace of art and opened it up, I was surprised to find out that it is even more beautiful than in the pictures on KA-BAR's website! And I just can't put it down!! Thank you Ka-Bar and E.W. Stone!!

Amazing quality. Great packaging and display case. Well worth the money. I like to utilize a good knife for hunting but this one is far to beautiful.

First off, the packaging is absolutely amazing, I have stowed my knife away in the shipping box, they even took care of pckaging the packaging so I will as well! On to the display box, it is built like a tank! The latch and corners look great in silver, the box is sturdy and there is a top/bottom felt lined wood divider for the knife and sheath. It fits securely and doesnt allow the blade to bang around when it is closed. There is a pamphlet that serves as the COA, signed by the president of Ka-Bar as well as EW STONE. The silver end cap on the container is painted styrofoam, and there is also styrofoam inside the tube holding the display box perfectly centered and secure where it belongs with a couple dessicant bags inside for moisture control. The knife itself is absolutely stunning. The blued finish is flawless, and the body of the knife, the handle, the true meat of it is built so well my hand didnt want to let go of it. It just feels natural. Its as if it were tailor made for me. Unbelievable. I will not be cutting anything with it so i regret to inform you of its performance although I am confident it would love to be put to use. I simply cannot justify it, even a paper test. There is no point. This is an iconic piece of American history and being limited to only 350 pieces, I feel very lucky to own one. Thank you Ka-Bar and the collaborating team for creating such a visually pleasing, ergonomic, classic knife. I will be passing this down to future generations of my family. Thank you, thank you THANK YOU!!!!

This is a most impressive knife right from the packaging down to the fit and finish. I am so glad they choose to replicate E. W. Stone's personal knife. Since there is nothing like this quality out there to compare with any collector would be proud to have this as part of their collection.

Others have written great reviews and I can't say anything more than they've already said except, "This isn't just a knife, it's a work of art. "

This knife package is outstanding! From the packaging, to the presentation box, DVD in old time film real cannster, to the outstanding fit and finish of the knife this rings all the bells and whistles for a military knife collector. It may not be made in WWII, but I would venture to say that E.W. Stone could not have made this quality, but it is true to his form and idea! Thanks for making such a wonderful collectable knife.

Enter the Stone Ka-bar, my most prized fixed blade! This is a unique and exciting knife. Ultra high quality. Visual eye candy and like another reviewer said it feels like it's tailor made for your hand. You don't won't to put it down because it feels so good in the hand. I have shmedium sized hands btw. The blade is in full polish and appears more like chrome to me. It looks both blue and a caramel color depending on the lighting. The only thing I would change is the sheath. My knife blade doesn't seat all the way down b/c the snap is positioned a little to high and the Ka-bar stamp is not exactly centered. Overall very happy with my purchase and customer service is excellent!!! Note: I was wondering what year these went into production? I think I saw a Youtube video dating back to 2014 but cust. svc. told me 2018 I believe. It would be nice to know what # mine is in the production run but this is probably a good thing keeping all in the run the same collector's price/value. Instead of those first in the run trending higher prices than those at the end of the run. Anyway, thanks Ka-bar!!!

That price tag would scare me more than someone trying to kill me with it.
Good blade though.
